Kisii County is yet to table the people’s assembly motion despite the fact many perceived NASA stronghold counties have done the same, but according to one Member of the Kisii county assembly there some powerful politicians from both Jubilee and NASA behind the delay.
According to the MCA who requested for anonymity, the powerful politicians are pushing for President Uhuru Kenyatta to either add another cabinet slot to the region among other government powerful seats or support Raila’s people’s assembly motion.
The MCA said the Kisii people’s assembly motion is being used to ensure that the agenda of the politicians who lost in elections get powerful posts in either Jubilee or NASA.
“The people’s assembly motion in Kisii has not been passed because of powerful politicians who are pushing president Uhuru Kenyatta to appoint them in the cabinet or give them other powerful posts in return,” said the MCA.
