A Kirinyaga politician's son has been killed in a road accident.
The deceased, 30, was in the company of four others riding a motorbike Sunday morning when a saloon car rammed into them.
He died in hospital
Police said Titus Kangara, son to Jubilee Party Vice Chairman in Kirinyaga County, James Muriithi Kangara, died after an accident Sunday morning at 2am on at Kang’aru area along Kagio-Sagana road in Kirinyaga.
He had been rushed to Kagio Nursing Home together with a 24-year-old police officer identified as Peter Macharia Muiga who also died while receiving treatment.
The police officer, two of his cousins and the politician’s son were reportedly having fun a local pool base befored they hopped onto a motorbike to go home.
They met a Saloon car that lost direction and hit them.
Police said they are looking for owners of the car.
