National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has asked politicians to avoid remarks that can create conflict and division among citizens.

Speaking during a courtesy call paid to Governor Jack Ranguma office on Wednesday morning, Commissioner Aden Mohammed said that Kenyans are encouraged to live and co-exist peacefully without ethnicity, tribe and clan differences.

"Inter boundary issues can be solved amicably by following the right laws and institutions created. We want the affected area residents to stay peaceful as before,” said Mohammed.

He added, “We are having border issue because of resources both Kisumu and Vihiga Counties can benefit from. Issues can be solve without creating any unnecessary tensions, there people should respect laws and boundaries existing as we find permanent solution to this issue.”

“We have already met the Vihiga County governor Moses Akaranga and today we are here with the Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma on the border issues at Maseno just to get storie from both sides," said Mohammed.

He added, “This is just a fact finding mission, we will gather information, give a detailed report which we will share with relevant stakeholders."

Mohammed said that National Cohesion and Integration Commission will meet with Kisumu County Commissioner Erastus Ekidor to analyse the boundary issues.
