National Cohesion and Integration Commission of Kenya (NCIC) on Monday urged politicians to make sure the country remains peaceful amid political tension.
Chair Francis Ole Kaparo has reiterated that peace and prosperity was very important for the very growth and development of the country.
The commission urged politicians to embrace the spirit of nationalism and adequately serve the electorate as true leaders.
Kaparo also wanted politicians to reconsider their priorities and put their selfish interest behind while serving Kenyans.
“Politicians hold a key to peace and prosperity of Kenya. They should embrace the spirit of nationalism and adequately serve the electorate as true leaders,” said Kapar.
Kaparo said that NCIC will remain on radar to prevent any sorts of hate speech that can ignite violence among Kenyans and disrupt peace.
