Erick Ogada an aspirant for the Nakuru west parliamentary seat said that political aspirants must stop commercializing politics by buying votes from people or bribing people to vote for them during elections.

Speaking on Thursday during an interview in Nakuru town, Ogada said that commercial politics have destroyed the country because people end up electing the wrong leaders who fail to deliver their promises.

“The day we will stop electing people because of their money or wealth is the day we will change this country and its politics. Politicians must stop commercializing politics by buying votes or joining politics for economic gains,” said Ogada.

“Most politicians join politics with the motive of benefiting economically but not serving the people and that is what is taking this country backwards,” he said.

“As young aspirants in Nakuru county new must change this narrative and be politicians who focus on issue-based politics without basing on tribes, political parties and other things,” he said.
