Politicians who lost during the last year's polls in Nyamira County have been asked to stop politicizing government projects.
Nyamira County Commissioner Isaiah Nakoru claimed that some local politicians have been giving misleading information to the members of the public concerning the national government projects.
Nakoru said for instance local leaders have been telling lies to the public that the government has relocated Ekerenyo Division days after a police post was opened there.
"It is sad that some local politicians are out to mislead our people about government projects. I wish to urged the leaders to focus on constructive politic," he said.
The commissioner assured residents of Nyamira North that the new police station at Ekerenyo has not been relocated as claimed by some misleading politicians.
"The government has not relocated Ekerenyo Division and a police post as claimed by some people.
"The police station is there and currently serving people to ensure there is no crime in the region like in the past where areas like Nyamusi, Magwagwa and Matierio have experienced increased cases of criminal activities," he added.
