Politicians have taken to their social media accounts to wish former president Mwai Kibaki a quick recovery.
Kibaki, who is currently receiving treatment in South Africa underwent a mild stroke.
Among the politicians who sent out, condolence messages was Wiper Party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka.
"Prayers today for H.E Mwai Kibaki as he begins his treatment & recovery. We are all with you, Mr. President. Get well soon!" read the tweet.
Kalonzo served as the 10th vice president during the PNU regime when Mwai Kibaki who is sick now was the president.
ODM party leader, Raila Odinga also posted a tweet to wish Kibaki well.
"I send good wishes to the former President H. E Mwai Kibaki & his family following his hospitalisation," read Raila's tweet.
Machakos governor, Alfred Mutua wished Kibaki well by a tweet that read, "I am praying for my friend President Mwai Kibaki and wishing him a quick recovery. Please join me in praying for this great man."
