It is barely four months to the general elections and major political parties in Kenya, Jubilee Party and the National Super Alliance (NASA) are hitting the road running to appeal to the Kenyan voter.

On Friday, another political battle is set to be witnessed in two counties where the two factions enjoy a considerable support base.

NASA are in Nairobi county at Masinde grounds in Mathare area, hosted by the county Governor Evans Kidero. The meeting that was scheduled for 9 am has already kicked-off.

However, the four principals, Raila Odinga (ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), and Moses Wetangula(Ford-Kenya) who are set to address their followers had not arrived by the time of this publication.

The four principals are reportedly held up in a close door meeting in Karen. It is also reported that the leaders are expected to read out NASA's manifesto in the Mathare rally.

On the other side in Nakuru County, Jubilee is expected to address a rally in Naivasha.

Earlier reports had indicated that President Uhuru Kenyatta will officially address the rally but fresh reports indicated that Deputy President William Ruto will take over the event.

The latest opinion poll by Infotrak showed that Jubilee has a slight lead over NASA in Nairobi in terms of popularity. 

Jubilee boasts 43 percent popularity while NASA stands at 40 percent.
