Former Dujis MP Hussein Maalim is planning for a come back in politics come 2022.
Speaking to BBC Somali on matters of negotiated democracy in Northern Kenya, Hussein said only a section of majority decides for the minorities and that their views are usually not heard and considered.
"The majority in the society decides for the minority ones and their opinions get forgotten. Is this a negotiated democracy?" wondered Maalim, who is popularly known as Hussein Maendeleo.
He said he was missing politics and that he was planning a come back in 2022, but failed to disclose the position he will be vying for.
"I'm missing the politics. The Garissa politics. I will be back by 2022 and I'm very much energetic and my mind is fresh for it. Lets wait for that time,'' he said, Tuesday.
Hussein served as Minister of State Affairs in the office of former President Daniel Arap Moi during Kanu era.
He was the first Somali in Kenya to join the Cabinet in 1983 and served as Dujis MP from 1988-2007.
In April 2016, president Uhuru Kenyatta appointed him as the new chairman of Ewaso Ng’iro North Development Authority (Ennda).
