There was grief and a dark cloud of mourning as the requiem mass for the six guards killed in Mitaboni last week was held today at Mitaboni playground.
The incident happened last week where six guards were brutally murdered by a gang that raided shops in the area.
Several leaders led by Machakos deputy governor Bernard Kiala, Senator Johnston Muthama, Women Representative Madam Susan Musyoka and area Mp Robert Mbui accompanied hundreds of mourners to the event and called on the national government to beef us security in the entire county.
Politics took center stage as residents and politicians presents accused governor Mutua of being ignorant of thr plight of the Mitaboni residents by not visiting them in the time of grief.
The county commissioner also announced the transfer of all police officers in Mitaboni to another area.
After the funeral mass, the mourners proceeded for burial sessions in the respective places and laid to rest the deceased.
