The Kenya Premier League has now deferred midweek action earlier set for Tuesday and Wednesday over the same.
The KPL round of 20 matches previously scheduled for last weekend were also postponed.
A letter from KPL addressing the amendments said:
“Following consultations with the chairmen of KPL clubs, the 2017 SportPesa Premier League Round 21 matches, which were scheduled to be played on Tuesday (today) and Wednesday (tomorrow), have been postponed. This discussion has been taken in light of the political situation of the country at the moment which has made it difficult for players and technical staff to report back to their clubs for the purpose of engaging in meaningful training and preparation to honour those matches. Round 20 matches which had been rescheduled to the weekend of August 19/20 will, however, go on as planned as the situation continues to be monitored.”
