Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua (Machakos), Ali Hassan Joho (Mombasa) and William Kabogo (Kiambu) stand higher chances of retaining their seats ahead of the August general elections as per a poll conducted by TIFA.
Mutua, who is seeking re-election on Maendeleo Chap Chap ticket, garnered 75% while his closest competitor Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti who was rated at 8%, reports Capital FM.
Governor Joho was rated at 68% ahead of Jubilee party aspirant Suleiman Shabhal who got 15% support.
In Kiambu, Kabogo came first with 43% against Ferdinard Waititu who managed 33%. The three governors will be banking on their performance scoreboard and political affliations to retain their seats in the forthcoming general elections.
Mutua, Kabogo and Joho have been rated among the best performing governors since the last general elections. The trio has initiated different projects in their home counties, which has given them an upper hand over their competitors. Despite parting ways with Wiper Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Mutua still stands a high chance of re-election.
