The survey conducted across 42 counties, shows 47 percent of the respondents would elect Uhuru for a second term while the opposition leader Raila Odinga would come in second with 30 percent.
Wiper chief Kalonzo Musyoka would garner six percent of the total votes casted whereas the ANC leader Musalia Mudavidi would walk away with three percent.
Nairobi and Western regions seemed to be the biggest battle grounds for the two political leaders.
In Nairobi for instance Uhuru’s support is 34 percent while Odinga enjoys a support of 40 percent whereas in Western 36 percent were in favor of the former Prime Minister while 24 percent were in favor of the head of state.
However, the electorates would go back to the ballot for a second round since none of the candidates garnered the 50+1 percent which is a requirement in the constitution.
The survey was conducted between January 9 to 26 2017 which interviewed 2,057 respondents across 42 counties.
