The pollution at Lake Nakuru has become a major obstacle in the recovery mission after a chopper crashed into the lake.

A chopper carrying five people crashed into the lake on October 21.

Since then, only two bodies have been recovered. The other three and the chopper's engine have left teams of divers camping at the crime scene trying to recover them.

Divers have however said the raw sewege in the lake, plastics, siltation and logs in the water have made it difficult to manoeuvre.

The water is also said to be so cloudy and divers cannot see through.

This has left families of victims agonised.

Among those missing is John Mapozi, Veronicah Muthoni and Sam Gitau.
