Various candidates in Nakuru County have embarked on a last minute rush offering goodies to the electorate even as the clock ticks with only three days to the August the general elections.

In Bahati constituency incumbent MpPKimani Ngunjiri suffered a major blow after the high court threw out a case in which he sought to have rival John Mbugua honest barred from contesting the seat on ground s that he was using photos of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto in his posters.

Mbugua traversed the entire constituency in a vote hunting mission urging residents to avail themselves in large numbers come August 8th besides donating 5 ambulances to benefit locals.

He called on Kenyans to observe peace during the electioneering period adding that it was wrong for politicians to incite people into violence for their own political gain.

Elsewhere, Nakuru gubernatorial candidate on Independent ticket John Mututho took his campaigns to Rongai constituency while Senatorial aspirant Susan Kihika visited Njoro and Bahati constituencies.

In Gilgil, jubilee nominee Martha Wangari went on with her campaigns where she called on residents of Gilgil to turn out in large numbers to welcome president Uhuru Kenyatta when he comes visiting Nakuru town tomorrow.

Wangari who wrestled down incumbent Mathenge Nderitu said Jubilee party was born in Nakuru town hence the need for residents of Nakuru to turn out in large numbers to welcome the president and his campaign team.

“My appeal to the people from all the wards of Gilgil is to come out in large numbers to welcome the President when he visits Nakuru on Saturday and also let us ensure that we are peaceful,” she said.

Meanwhile, Interviewed residents of Nakuru said that the president is welcome in Nakuru adding that they expect him to address issues like the emerging controversy over Itare dam project in Kuresoi north constituency.
