SoNy Sugar head coach Salim Babu is not a happy man after a heavy downpour destroyed his side's plants to overcome visiting Nakumatt in their KPL match played at the Awendo Green Stadium, Sunday.

Babu blamed that rains for his loss saying they had prepared well for the clash.

Kepha Aswani struck just before half time to help the shoppers pick a vital win to push them away from the relegation pack.

Apart from the rains, Babu has also blamed the officiating in the match.

"The rains affected our game plan because the pitch became soaked and unplayable, it made us struggle a lot. The officiating too wasn't very good. Some key calls went against us in the game and in the end we lost. We now have to prepare better for our next game," he said.

SoNy will face fellow millers Muhoroni Youth in their next game at home.
