The police force is now being accused of incompetence.
This follows a recent outcry from parliamentarians who are complaining of sexual harassment.
A number of Members of Parliament on Tuesday revealed receiving sexual content from an unknown person, with most of them reporting receiving pornographic pictures.
With a section expressing fears that the trend could negatively affect their families, Kikuyu lawmaker Kimani Ichung'wa is now accusing the police force of laziness in battling the crime.
"The police force is defrauding Kenyans by failing to combat this criminal activity. The force has every capability to stop this," he said.
He claimed that the lack of action from the law enforcers is questionable, raising claims of a possible collaboration between a section of the force and the suspected criminals.
"The silence on this issue can only mean two things; either the force is part of this operation or is unwilling to carry out its constitutional responsibilities for some reasons," he said.
Legislatures who admitted being victims include Minority Leader John Mbadi, Suna East MP Junet Mohammed and his Kiminini counterpart Chris Wamalwa.
The house is, therefore, scheduled to summon all the mobile service producers, the Inspector General of Police and the Communication Authority (CA) in a bid to save the lawmakers from the onslaught.
