The East African Portland Cement company has recorded Sh1.4 billion loss for the year ended June 30.
This comes after a net profit of Sh 4.1 billion was recorded in 2016.
Portland has blamed the losses on low sales and excess supply of their products.
There was also a decline in revenue realised by the company.
This year they made Sh6.93 billion compared to least year's Sh8.87 billion.
In 2017, the loss before tax stands at Sh 1.71 billion.
