The prolonged doctor's strike that has lasted 100 days could soon come to an end.
The court of appeal on Tuesday issued a final warning to both parties involved in the widely stretched out boycott and asked them to find a lasting solution as soon as possible.
At a court hearing that was held earlier today, judges Jamilla Mohammed and Hanna Okwenga ordered the state and KMPDU to reach a consensus or force them to refer the dispute to the Labor court.
"The court has granted a last chance to both parties to try and reach a consensus or this dispute will be referred to the Labor court," Court of appeal judge said.
Lawyers from both sides therefore, stated that a joint return to work formula was in the works and after the final draft was presented both parties would sign it.
The council of governors and doctors were directed to file consent documents before the registry.
The return to work formula was to be presented and filed in court in the course of the day and hopefully bring an end to the chaos that has lasted for more than three months.
