Raila, despite being from Luo Nyanza, enjoys massive support from the other regions as well, hence his party's ability to acquire seats in  Western, North Eastern and Coast regions in the concluded polls.

With the National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition standing on shaky grounds currently, following a series of attacks and counter-attacks between members parties, emanating from his mock Presidential inauguration which his co-principals Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula chose to skip, Odinga has since announced that the Orange Party could go it alone in 2022.

Though he is yet to announce whether he will be on the ballot, for the 5th time, below are his possible choices should he break away from NASA.

He is likely to pick Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho to back him.

The young county boss wields massive support in the Coastal region which could be a plus on the veteran politician's side.

Joho is also on his second and last term and is constitutionally barred from vying again. Since politics is an upward spiral, and he is, therefore, unlikely to vie for a lower post, Joho is likely to take Odinga's offer should he be picked.

Another option for Odinga would be Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Oparanya is Odinga's deputy in ODM and has proved his loyalty to both the leader and party.

He is also one of the most celebrated leaders in Western Kenya, a region that has always stood with Odinga and just like Joho, Oparanya is technically retiring from politics.

Raila could also go for Kilifi county chief Amason Jeffa Kingi. The vocal leader has never differed with the former Premier and would easily be accepted by Odinga's supporters.

Odinga is, however, yet to make the big announcement and will be at liberty to choose who will fit in the position upon making the decision.
