Victims of the 2007/08 post poll violence have broken their silence and urged Cord leaders to suspend their ongoing protests for national dialogue.
The group now says that if the Cord leaders do not heed their call for dialogue at the expense of demonstrations then they will resort to voluntary camping at their respective residential homes to compel them stop their demos.
Under their Peace Ambassadors Network (PAN), the election violence victims said their current predicament as internally displaced persons in their own motherland started by mere demonstrations just after the disputed 2007 polls.
Making a press release on Saturday, Esther Namulanda who is the group's lead coordinator said their members would camp at the Cord offices and also in Raila's, Kalonzo's and Wetangula's homes if they take part in Monday demos on Nairobi.
‘'As violence victims of the 2007-2008 chaos, we shall not watch patiently as the fire that razed us is lit once again to swallow other innocent Kenyans,’' said Namulanda.
The PAN coordinator, however, expressed her confidence that the standoff can amicable be resolved if the opposition resorts dialogue with both the government and the IEBC.
