With a death toll of 235 road accident casualties this year alone, roads in Nakuru County continue to be among the most dangerous in the country.
The colossal figure places the county as the second most road unfriendly area after Nairobi County.
The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has gazetted areas considered to be very fatal across the country in a bid to get drivers and pedestrians to exercise extra vigilance.
In Nakuru county the authority has pointed out areas such as Kinungi, Gilgil Junction, Ngata Bridge, Njoro Road, Sobea and Maili Mbili in Naivasha.
Not to be forgotten is the Salgaa stretch along the Nakuru-Eldoret Road which is famous for huge death tolls especially during festivities.
