Jomvu Parliamentary aspirant Dan Aloo has blamed the wrangles facing the Mombasa ODM camp on power brokers.Aloo said the recent conflicts witnessed during the ODM primaries in Mombasa and some parts of the Coast region are an indicator that the party consists of brokers and agents aiming to make money.Speaking at Jomvu in Mombasa, Aloo said the political outfit is losing its popularity because party leader Raila Odinga has left it under the leadership of people who are mismanaging it.He said ODM is slowing heading to the grave, because Raila does not know what is going on the ground especially in Mombasa and other parts of the Coast region.“Whenever Raila comes to Mombasa he is taken directly to Tamarid hotel in Nyali instead of walking him in Jomvu and other lregions to meet his supporters,” said Aloo. The former KNUT Mombasa County secretary general said if not addressed, the current situation will deny the NASA flag bearer the much needed Coast votes.“I fully support Raila’s presidential bid but he should be extra careful or else he will lose most of his supporters on the ground,” said Aloo.Aloo said the party is no longer democratic, adding that measures should be put in place to ensure it does not lose its supporters.Aloo also criticised Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho for allegedly rigging in his relatives and allies during the party primaries at the expense of aspirants who have the supporters of voters. He called on both Raila and Joho to work on uniting party members ahead of the August polls.

Awiti said he will vie for the Jomvu seat as an independent candidate.
