Bungoma Deputy Governor Prof Ngome met a group of youth from Sweden in Kibingei who have partnered with local youth from Kimilili, Mt. Elgon and its environ to form a team geared at promoting cohesion, economic empowerment and social growth.
The DG urged the youth to be role models in the county by shunning corruption and other vices.
He assured the youth of the County government's total support in ensuring that the activities they engage in succeed.
"I am instructing the CEC for Youth to see to it that you acquire land and any other support you may need to make sure your group becomes a model in the County," he told them on Thursday.
The team under the 'Power House Youth Team' banner has been in existent for the past three years. They engage in various activities which include table banking, tailoring classes, basic ICT training and talent nurturing.
Also present at the meeting was Gender Youth and Culture CeC Evelyn Bunusu Kakai.
