Residents from Gesonso shopping of Gesonso Division in Kisii South Sub-county, have raised concern over constant power outage in the area.
They have appealed to the management of Kenya Power and Lighting Company to fix the problem, which they lamented, has caused them a lot of losses and inconveniences in their business.
Charles Mong'are, one of the residents from the area, regretted that the blackouts had cost him a lot of losses in his milk parlor business.
"As a resident of this area, I am appealing to the KPLC management to fix this problem of power blackouts ,since it is not only affecting business operations, but it is also posing a security risk to local residents as criminals could take advantage of the situation to attack locals," stated Mong'are.
Mong'are disclosed that, even the high ranking officers from the Kisii County Government who reside in the area continue bearing the brunt of the blackouts.
