Speaking on Tuesday in Mavoko town in Machakos County, Ndeti condemned the leaders who have hesitated to step aside from their offices to allow investigation, stating there is a reason behind their names appearing in the report.

“All the leaders whose names appear on the report should step aside to allow investigations. This does not mean resignation, so when the names are cleared, it is their right to resume office, but until then they should not report to their offices,” said Ndeti.

Wavinya further condemned corruption, noting that it was disrespect to the citizens who elected them.

“The names in the report are not there by coincidence, and it must have been as a result of complaints from citizens to the anti-corruption body that led to investigation,” she said.

“If anyone is innocent of the allegations the constitution guarantees their freedom but if found guilty they should face the law,” she added.

Ndeti stated firmly that the Liaison Committee of the political parties does not encourage corruption, and therefore applauded the bold step by the president.

“PPLC is behind the president to ensure zero tolerance to corruption,” said Ndeti.
