Kenyans have been asked to pray for the country so that God can have mercy and redeem it from the challenges it is facing.
Speaking at Our Lady of Lourdes church in Turbo constituency, Uasin Gishu, during a thanksgiving mass, Bishop Cornelius Korir said that the country needs God’s intervention.
The Bishop said that the country has been invaded by evil and that only prayers will help redeedm it.
“People of Kenya must commit themselves before God so that he can have intervention to the problems facing us,” said the Bishop.
Korir urged the church to lead the flock in the right direction and pray against the evils being experienced in the society.
Korir said that the church has a responsibility to lead the people in the right direction noting that many faithfuls are being led astray.
The Bishop also raised concerns over the rise in cultism saying that the church must stand against evil.
He observed that prophets of doom and evil have risen and are taking away people especilly the youths into cultic practices.
Korir at the same time asked leaders to exercise unity and preach harmony among the people. He said politics of hate will only continue to separate kenyans stating that political leaders must stand and unite Kenyans.
The Bishop asked the government to improve security across the country saying that recent terror attacks experienced in Mandera and other parts of the country are worrying and must be addressed.
