Kitutu Chache North Member of parliament Jimmy Angwenyi has called on Gusii region residents to pray for Omogusii Unity movement to succeed in its agenda of uniting the community.
According to him prayer is the solution to anything to succeed and said there is a need for the movement to get prayers.
Addressing residents at Nyataro in Bomachoge constituency during a church fundraiser on Sunday, Angwenyi said the aim of the movement has been criticised by some Gusii politicians and urged residents to pray for the movement to succeed.
“Our aim is to unite the community, God is everything I urge all residents in Gusii region to pray for this movement to succeed in its agenda of uniting Omogusii to have a bargaining power in the national government,” said Angweyi.
His sentiment were echoed by other Omogusii unity movement members among them, Kisii county Senator Chris Obure, Deputy governor Joash Maangi, former CIC chairman Charles Nyachae among other who called for prayers.
