A special prayer was on Thursday held at Maai-Mahiu Trading centre, Naivasha-Narok road following increased number of road accidents taking place on the road.

"We are currently in the final stages of buying our own busses which will be used to transport all the workers. We also hope to insure all the workers and we hope that this will go ahead in ensuring that people concentrate on their businesses and also reduce the number of accidents taking place in this road,” said Murigo.
John Munyiri who is the chairman of the sand harvesters went ahead and said that it was very sad since a number of youths have lost their lives due to accidents which have been taking place on the road.
"The buses which are about to be bought will be a relief to many workers as they will ensure their safety,” said Munyiri.
Bishop John Koina of Baptist Church, who led the prayers, told the people who had attended the special prayer that the time was ripe to ensure that there is safety of the youths who work at the sand harvester’s site.
"We all came here to Pray with our brothers and friends who had lost their relatives and friends on this road. It is very sad to know that since this year started, 15 loaders and sand harvesters have died due to the accidents which occurred on this road,” Koina said.
