Residents of Nakuru have expressed their hopes that the cases facing Deputy President William Ruto and journalist Joshua arap Sang at the International Criminal Court will finally end today (Tuesday).
Speaking Monday ahead of the court's ruling on the No Case to Answer' motion filed by the two accused persons, the residents said the cases are bound to crumble because they are founded on fabrications.
"I see the cases being terminated Tuesday because they are founded on lies and vendetta," said Moses Kipkorir.
His sentiments were echoed by Paul Kihara who was displaced in Burnt Forest during the 2007/08 violence. He said that there was need to terminate the cases since the country had moved on.
"Let the judges end the cases because we have moved on. The cases are baseless as witnesses claimed that they were coached," he added.
Mabel Irungu, however, said there is need to fast and pray ahead of the ruling because any unexpected ruling could plunge the country into anarchy.
Nakuru is one of the areas which were hardest hit by the post election violence.
