Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has urged hopefuls seeking various seats to preach peace even as the country heads to the general election next year.
Addresing faithful during a funds drive in aid of the Nyamira Pentecostal Church, Nyagarama preached against divisive politics adding that Nyamira County under his leadership, has become even better on matters development.
"I urge my fellow politicians to preach peace as we head to the next general election because unity and peace is all we need for developmental. In fact, Nyamira County has developed since I came into power," said Nyagarama.
The county boss asked residents to brace for more development in the region.
" In two months time, you will see street lights everywhere because we need to people to live in secure places and my government will ensure bright but poor children get bursaries to support their education," added Nyagarama.
