As Kenyans gear up for the next general election, politicians have been urged to preach peace during their campaigns and shun hate talk which might cause chaos among communities.
Speaking at Gekano parish on Sunday during a fundraiser to support Baba na Mama catholic, former Kisii town mayor Samuel Nyangeso called on the politicians from both the national level and county levels to preach peace during their campaigns.
Nyangeso said the country is bigger than an individual, hence advised residents to be keen on politicians who use hate speech during their campaigns.
“I also call upon residents to elect visionary leaders who will develop this county and country,” Nyangeso added.
He used the opportunity to drum up support for Presidents Uhuru's re-election.
