A preacher who also practiced counseling has committed suicide.
Fredrick Murungi, 55, who worked at PCEA Chogoria Hospital hanged himself on Monday.
His wife said the man hanged himself in a cowshed.
Maara OCPD Johnston Kabusia confirmed the incident.
Murungi’s widow reported that her husband woke up at 5.30am and left for work as usual.
But when she woke up and went to milk her cows, she found a rope used during milking missing.
“As I was looking for the rope I found his body hanging from the roof of a building [another house] in the homestead,” she said.
She added that Murungi did not leave a suicide note.
“We cannot tell what pushed him to commit suicide,” the widow added.
Police said investigations are underway.
