A South African preacher has broken another record for telling members to engage in self-pleasure to ‘earn eternal life’.
‘Pastor’ Edisai Mensah from Benoni in South Africa, is known for his different and outrageous antics in his church including stepping on the congregants and preaching on their backs.
Mensah told church members that indulging in self-pleasure would earn them eternal life and free them from diseases.
According to The Southern Daily, those who participated in the act “would be rewarded with eternal life free of sickness”.
A five-minute video footage captures the moment that Pastor Mensah told the congregants that “God had sent his angels to oversee the act which would make the church’s floor as sacred as heaven”.
“Start now, the angels are watching here to see who is doing and who is not doing.”
In the video, congregants can be heard in the background moaning.
Religious leaders in South Africa have asked authorities to take action against Pastor Mensah for misleading Christians.
His church members, however, came to his defence, saying that their Pastor does what he is instructed by God and that people must not question God.
Just recently, another South African self-proclaimed prophet made outrageous claims that he had been to heaven and taken selfies with Jesus.
Another pastor Penuel Mnguni, who leads the End Times Disciples Ministries church in Soshanguve, north of Pretoria has made some church members eat raw snakes.
According to NewsacrossAfrica.com, the man said he had “the authority to change everything into anything and it will obey because of our authority”.
Earlier this year, he ordered his members to take off their clothes after which he sat on them, praying.
