Mandera Governor hopeful Noor Hassan Noor has asked incumbent Ali Roba to prepare for a political Tsunami in the coming August 8 general election.
Noor, who is vying on Economic Freedom Party (EFP) ticket, says that Governor Roba has nowhere to hide and he will send him packing on August 8.
The governor says that Roba will not survive the EFP wave on August 8.
The former Provincial Commissioner (PC) said that the Jubilee governor’s time in office is up and asked him to prepare to hand over on August 8.
“I want to tell governor Roba that his tenure his tenure is coming on August 8 and should prepare for political retirement,” he said as quoted by the People Daily.
The former PC said that Roba’s leadership has not benefitted residents, adding that his government if elected will seek to repair Roba’s mistakes.
Noor promised to push for key reforms that will transform the county’s economic sphere within 100 days if elected.
The EFP governor hopeful also pledged to fight corruption and tribalism which he claimed are rife in Roba’s government.
