Speaking on Radio Citizen on Tuesday, she noted that the leaders' joint decision to spearhead national cohesion is likely to have brought the issue under consideration, in a bid to suspend the current exclusive leadership system.

She claimed that a referendum to bring into power a better leadership system remains the only remedy amid exclusion feelings among a section of Kenyans.

''The handshake must have included some long term remedies for our current problems, including a referendum, to change the bad feeling some Kenyans are having regarding the nation's leadership and their lack of representation in the highest decision making table,'' she said.

With a section of leaders drawn from the Jubilee government, led by Deputy President William Ruto already warning against any attempts to amend the law, Wanga urged them to drop the resistance and join the rest of the nation in the national healing initiative should the push materialize.

''If the two have agreed to push for a referendum then we all have to join them in their initiative for a better Kenya,'' she added.
