Likoni Constituency aspirant Khamis Domoko has exuded confidence that he will trounce his rival Mombasa Women Representative Mishi Mboko in the Likoni Parliamentary seat after he opted to contest as an independent candidate.Domoko, who spoke to Baraka FM, said he has no doubt that the electorate will back him in August, adding the voters are well informed in matters of leadership.“I believe in the people, I am eagerly waiting for her in the ballot, my people will make the right decision,” said Domoko. The aspirant also took a swipe at Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho for allegedly colluding with other officials in the party to rig him out during the nomination exercise. Domoko further claimed that he was thrown out of the party because of his tribe.“Some of the ODM party leaders including Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho are tribalists. He lured the officers and some residents with an aim of making Mishi to be the winner,” said Domoko. On her part, Mboko has asked Domoko to accept defeat and move on. She has also expressed confidence that she will beat Domoko with a huge margin like she did during the nominations, which the latter claims were marred with massive malpractices. The two will battle it out against Masoud Mwahima who decamped from ODM to the Jubilee party.
