Likoni MP hopeful Mishi Mboko has asked incumbent Masoud Mwahima to prepare for a titanic battle on August 8.

In an interview with the People Daily, Mboko said that she is not afraid of facing the veteran politician at the ballot.

The Mombasa Woman Rep claimed that Mwahima has not done anything for Likoni residents despite serving as MP for many years.

The Raila Odinga die-hard ally claimed that Mwahima has been propagating personal interests at the expense of serving locals.

"I want to tell Mwahima that I respect him as a senior politician but I am not afraid of facing him and sending him home on August 8," she said as quoted by the Daily Nation.

She stated that Likoni residents need a leader who will articulate and address problems facing them. The Mombasa Woman rep said that access to clean water, unemployment and drug abuse remains key issues facing the constituency.

Mboko, who is flying the ODM ticket promised to end problems facing resident’s in100 days if elected.

The MP hopeful said that her top agenda if elected will be to create jobs for young people and empower women.

She said that her success as Mombasa Woman Representative gives her the zeal to work for and represent Likoni people in the National Assembly.

Mwahima, a veteran politician dumped ODM last year and is seeking another term on Jubilee Party ticket.

The ODM rebel MP has dismissed Mboko’s bid saying that she is not fit to represent Likoni people in the National Assembly.
