Mutindi, contesting as an independent candidate says that she has the numbers to beat Makau.
Addressing supporters at Mlolongo on Monday, the MP hopeful said that she has the support of women and youth, adding that Makau should start packing.
Ms Mutindi hit out at Makau claiming that he has not pushed for locals interests in terms of development in The National Assembly.
She claimed that Makau has not fully utilized the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
“Makau should prepare to go home because he will not survive the political wave that is coming on August 8,” she said as quoted by the Star.
The MP hopeful at the same time refuted claims that she is a spoiler in the parliamentary race.
“I am not anyone’s political project as being claimed by my rivals,” she said. Makau is seeking another term on Wiper Party ticket and has exuded confidence in retaining the seat.
Former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile is also in the Mavoko parliamentary race vying on Jubilee Party ticket. Others in the race to oust Makau are Justina Wamae of Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) Party and Dominic Maitha contesting on ODM party.
