Atheists have dared Attorney General Githu Muigai to suspend the registration of their organisation.
The group's chairman said they are waiting for the AG to serve them with an official letter then they'll file a petition in court.
“The suspension has not been made official. We are only getting this from media reports, but if he makes it official then he should prepare for a major legal battle,” Harrison Mumia said.
There have been calls from religious leaders to deregister the group, stating that it is against the Constitution which recognises Kenya as a country that believes in God.
In a statement, the AG said the legality of the group’s registration would be determined by the Supreme Court.
