Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana wants the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to prepare and be ready to conduct fresh presidential election.

Kibwana says that the petition filed by NASA in the Supreme court challenging president Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election is so strong and cannot be dismissed away.

In an interview with the Standard, professor Kibwana told IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati to get his tools ready for another election.

"The IEBC should put in place resourcess and be ready for another presidential election because the evidence  we will be tabling in the supreme court is so strong and Uhuru and Jubilee can not survive it," he said as quoted by the Daily Nation.

Kibwana said that NASA victory in the recently concluded general election was evident.

He claimed that they had the numbers to send Jubilee home and that their  numbers were allgedly doctored.

The Makueni governor at the same time lashed out at politicians asking NASA leader Raila Odinga to concede  the election saying they are being ignorant.

Kibwana said  that NASA has the right to contest the election in court.

NASA filed an application in supreme court on Friday last week challenging Uhuru re-election in the recently concluded polls.

The opposition claims that the presidential election was marred with irregularities.

NASA has lined up top lawyers to argue its case exuding confidence of a favourable outcome.

On the other hand a section of Jubilee leaders have dismissed NASA's petition claiming its weak.

The supreme court led by Chief Justice David Maraga has 14 days to hear and make judgement on the petition.
