Independent presidential candidate Nixon Kukubo has expressed confidence that he will floor President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto in the forthcoming general polls.
The former KDF Soldier, who garnered only garnered 5,927 votes in 2007 presidential race, said that he will give Uhuru a run for his money when that time comes.
The aspirant called upon voters not to be swayed by political parties during the forthcoming general polls, adding that he is the best replacement for Uhuru come August.
“Kenyans have seen what party euphoria and political ethnicity have done to the country. Uhuru should prepare for a humiliating defeat from me,” he told the Star in a Phone interview.
The aspirant also said that leaders belonging to the National Super Alliance (NASA) and Jubilee are not different in any way while urging the electorate to back him as he seeks to rise to power in August.
“The difference between the politicians in NASA and Jubilee is the same. Kenyans should not be deceived into voting for either,” Kukubo said.
He further said that he has been overwhelmed by the support he has been accorded by independent candidates as he campaigns before the polls. “I’m receiving overwhelming support from independent candidates, who don’t subscribe to party politics,” he added.
