Nyamira County Women Representative Jerusha Momanyi has asked parents in the county to prepare their children to go back to school starting Tuesday, January 2, 2018.

On Sunday, she said, parents had enough time to prepare for their children after education Cs Education Matiang’I released KCPE and KCSE exams results in time. 

“Parents whose children are joining form one had enough time to prepare their children to report to various schools as schools start re-opening from Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Let the children report to school in time and start the syllabus with the rest,” she said.

She urged the county government to help needy and bright students from poor families to report to school. 

“The county should come to the rescue of needy and bright students from families that won’t afford school fees. Parents should invest in their children through education,” she noted.

The lawmaker challenged county MCAs once they resume sittings to push for more bursary allocation to help pay fees for students joining secondary and high learning institutions.
