President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, has mourned Kenyan born Professor Calestous Juma who was a professor at the Harvard University before his death.Professor Calestous died on Friday, December 15 while undergoing treatments in Boston, Massachusetts.Reports indicated that Professor Juma ailed for a short time.Juma's mother was buried two weeks before his death and due to his sickness, he was not able to attend the burial.Through a tweet, President Kagame said Calestous' death is a big blow to entire Africa as he described him as a brilliant person dedicated to education, innovation, and Africa's prosperity."Saddened to hear of the passing of Prof Calestous Juma. We have lost a brilliant mind who was dedicated to innovation, education and Africa's prosperity. Condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace," Kagame tweeted.He was the only Kenyan to be listed in the inaugural list of 2017 Most Reputable People on Earth.President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto had earlier mourned the late Calestous describing him as a dedicated leader.NASA leader Raila Odinga on his part described Professor Juma as a scholar and a man who was passionate in empowering young people of every nationality to shape the world.
