President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday said that the President’s Award Kenya scheme will be strengthened to grow the opportunity for youths in Kenya.
The president called upon the youth to take part in the mentorship and character building program.
President Kenyatta, who spent the day at the Old Moses Camp, stated that the Kenyan government will also care to popularise the president’s award scheme to other countries so that they continue to boost regionally.
In the programme, the president interacted with the children and gave inspiration to 128 students from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Ghana who participated in the program.
“We will make this program a more regional as we move it to become a permanent thing to the region,” said Kenyatta.
He presented medals to students and encouraged the participants to believe in their ability to achieve in education and life.
“There is nobody who is born special in this world, big or small and super. Each one of us has strengths and weaknesses to work on it,” he said.
