President Kenyatta blamed for the division in the country

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) NEC member Kipkorir Arap Menjo has blamed president Uhuru Kenyatta for the division being witnessed in the country after the presidential elections.

He said despite many calls from the civil societies, clerics, and professionals for him to initiate the national dialogue with the opposition he has stayed mum.

"Dialogue doesn't mean that they have to agree, but a problem discussed is half solved. Kenyans constitutionally have equal shares in this country and should be treated as such," he said in Eldoret town, Tuesday.

"How do you achieve development and economic growth t when half of the people are pulling in the opposite direction due to unresolved political grievances? Meaningful development will only occur in an environment of mutual respect and justice for all and not treat others as children of a lesser God," he added.

He reiterated that President Uhuru Kenyatta should act speed to save the country from much division by embracing dialogue.

"Let him give the opposition leader Raila Odinga a chance to express himself through dialogue, you never know it might help the country," he added.
