[Photo|Kiraitu Murungi]Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi visited the families of deceased clergy men, Philip Kubai of Igembe North, Stanley Kalulu of Igembe Central and Moses M'Eruri of Igembe South who perished in a road accident in Embu.Kubai, chairman of bishops synod from Ntonyiri Diocese, Ntoreruri of Igembe Diocese and Bishop Kalulu from Igembe Central Diocese were killed in a crash at Mutithi at night, late last month.President Uhuru Kenyatta mourned three bishops of the African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa (AIPCA) who lost their lives along the Embu-Mwea road.In his condolence message, Uhuru said the death of the clergymen was a big loss not only to their families but also to the larger Kenyan society. He urged motorists to observe traffic laws, which are key to road safety.Bodies of the deceased who were travelling to Nairobi after a church function in Embu, were transferred to the Mwea Mission Hospital morgue.On Monday, Kiraitu visited the families ahead of the president's attendance of their burial service at Maili Tatu Stadium in Igembe Central, Meru County on Tuesday, January 9.Kiraitu passed a condolence message to the bereaved families on behalf of the President, as well as his own, reassuring them of the support of both levels of government in navigating past the dark patch.With him were Deputy Governor Titus Ntuchiu, Sports PS Kirimi Kaberia, Meru County Commissioner Wilfred Nyagwanga, Igembe Central MP Cyprian Kiringo, Imenti Central MP Kirima Nguchine, Assembly Speaker Kaberia Arimba, several CeCMs and county officials, and area MCAs.
