President Uhuru Kenyatta has exuded confident that he will win next week’s polls with overwhelming numbers.
According to Kenyatta, he enjoys more support compared to 2013, a factor that promises him a clean win.
Speaking during his rally of Gusii land and Western Kenya, Kenyatta said he won in 2013 while still burdened with the ICC cases, and with the tag off his feet, he is sure of an easy win against Raila Odinga.
He accused the opposition of being ‘power hungry’ with no clear plan or agenda for the country.
“If they had a plan they would not be engaging in insults,” said the President.
He told opposition candidate Raila Odinga to stop his attacks on Acting Internal Security Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, adding that he (Odinga) should know that Matiang’i is in charge of the country’s security.
“They come with different messages designed to incite Kenyans. When they come to Kisii they tell you a message to incite you, when they go to another place they say some communities should be moved,” said the President.
He added: “Our message does not change because we do not segregate Kenyans. We have served Kenyans in all regions equally and we will continue serving them.”
With a few days remaining to the polling day, president Kenyatta and his main rival Raila Odinga are on last minute campaigns to woo voters to their camps.
