[Photo|PSCU]President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday flagged-off national delivery of core course books for Primary and Secondary schools at the Centre for Mathematics Science and Technology Education in Africa (CEMESTEA). He said this was the start of an exercise that would ensure a 1:1 textbook ratio. "The initiative while costing the government ksh 7.5 billion has realized a saving of 13.82 billion shillings," he said during a ceremony that was attended by various government leaders and education stakeholders."This is one of the important components of the comprehensive reform programme we are implementing in the education sector. We are reforming education because we are convinced it is a great equalizer in any nation," he added.
