President Uhuru Kenyatta has told off NASA on their continued criticism of the Jubilee adminstration projects.
Speaking in Nakuru on Saturday, the Head of State challenged Opposition leaders to stop retrogressive politics by opposition leaders by critiquing every government project, adding that the Opposition should instead ensure checks and balances in the executive.
“The role of the Opposition is not to oppose but to ensure there are checks and balances in the government. However, the current Opposition has a habit of opposing every move the government makes regardless of its benefits,” he said.
Mr Kenyatta further defended his adminstration for the past four and half years, saying he had delivered on some of the key pledges he made in the run up to the 2013 general elections.
He urged the locals to back his re-election bid, citing improved economy during his tenure.
“The opposition is concentrating only on 10 million Kenyans going by their 10-million-strong slogan. Jubilee is however interested in the welfare of 45 million Kenyans,” he said.
